Report: Russia, Belarus to start Mar oil shipment talks in few days
MINSK, Feb 11 (PRIME) -- Minsk plans to start consultations with Russian oil companies on March supplies in a few days, First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Krutoi said late on Monday, as cited by newswire Belta.
“All this (the future oil shipments from Russia) is being negotiated. The consultations will start in few days. There are no details so far. Transneft will accept transit bids in March from February 15 till February 23, and this is the window when we must reach an agreement for them (suppliers) to send the bids to the Russian Energy Ministry and the ministry to order them to ship oil by the pipeline,” Belta said.
Krutoi also said that Belarus had not signed contracts to buy oil with the countries other than Russia so far. He said that Kazakhstan had promised to find oil for Belarus although Kazakhstan’s companies had signed export deals before Belarus’ request.
Minsk insists on an equal oil pricing approach of Russian companies for Belarus and the Western countries. “If we do not consider the duty and look at the net price between the companies, it is on the global level,” he said.
